I have three of the 5R in 308. It's not because they don't shoot.

I have some 175SMK with 43 grains and 43.4 of Varget loaded up. The 43.4 shoots really well out of the Armalite AR10 24" 1:11.25. So hopefully the 5R will like it as well. Your results give me hope.

Nice group. Do you have a favorite load for 155 gn bullets ? I've been getting good results with 46 gn Varget and 155 gn Nosler custom comp hp. out of my 5r .

I also forgot that some of the ones loaded were with Berger 175gr VLDs and I'm not 100% sure if it was those or the SMKs.
Haha yea after the third shot I was happy, then I started to get nervous. Then the fourth shot and there were no new holes I was starting to get really nervous that I'd ruin it. My heart rate was up and I took a minute before my fifth and steadied up and pulled the trigger after re centering on the target I think I yelled something out lol.
Best 5 shot group out of that rifle no question and I think the best group ever!
I don't do a lot of group shooting at 100yds anymore, more just for quick load development then out to 500-900yds. I'll definitely be taking that load out to the long ranges after that.
Here is the setup: I didn't use the round case but the bean bag rest next to it.
A good tip for chronographing. I tie a rope or string from the table out to the chronograph. This creates kind of an aiming device where I can line up the chronograph perfect to the target and in line with the barrel. This maximizes the chance that the bullet will pass evenly over both detectors which increases the accuracy of the results.
I found that most of people's complaints with chronographs is that they aren't set up properly either for alignment to target or controlling ambient light.
