Ruger 10/22 vs Marlin 795 video

I am assuming that is a tech rear sight on the 10/22, but what have you got on the Marlin? Does the Marlin still have the factory front sight, or did you change that too?
 
Where in the hell did you get that damn Tactical innovations mag?!. I've seen people with them but no one will tell me where to get the friggin things. All other high cap clips I have tried jam like crazy. I heard that one and the BX-25 are the only ones that don't jam (and yes I know the BX-25 is prohib because the RCMP are a bunch of #### stains).
 
The rear sight on the 10/22 is a NECG Weaver mounted peep and the one on the 795 is a Williams WRGS peep. The front sights on both rifles had to be swapped out for taller ones to accommodate the peeps. I get all my front sight gear from Williams as well.

As for the TI mag, I got it from Tactical Inc way back when they were still shipping them to Canada. I should have bought a dozen as they're really hard to find now. :(
 
Thanks for the video! Those are the two I've been mulling over for a while, but I've been leaning towards the 795. The only reason I dont have one, is I can't find one anywhere. I hate to ask this, but I've checked around on a few site sponsors and can't seem to find one.

Does anyone know where I can find a 795 in stock? Preferably Ontario.

i think Le Baron's has them, give them a call. Cabelas.ca has them too.
 
Bought my 795 at SAIL in Vaughan. Not a huge fan of that store, but it was $125 there.

As an aside on all this high-cap mag business....my 795 is hard enough on ammo with the 10-rounders as it is! Granted, I feed all my .22s CCI almost exclusively.

I got mine from Cabelas.ca

I did see a new one on the EE recently, but it was $40 more than Cabelas.

Tell me about it! i blew through 200 rounds in 2 hours on saturday, then i kicked myself for not bringing the entire brick with me :p

Some of the asking prices on the EE leave me scratching my head too, i mean, how do you keep a straight face when you ask for more than the retail price?!

Its easy..lol..they are on a computer screen so they figure they can hide behind that..not that I would do it
