BurrisFastfireII truly waterproof?

I just picked up a fastfireII, it's supposed to be waterproof when mounted with the gasket, but I'm kind of skeptical. Has anyone actually tested this or had water on it innadvertently in the field?

well...you could test yours. if it fails, they'll obviously have to replace it under warranty as it failed to meet up to advertised levels.

I would, but the warranty is of the limited variety that is good against defects for a year. The sight is supposed to be waterproof when properly mounted, if it failed, I bet they'd tell me that it wasn't properly mounted.

By the way, the instructions completely neglect a part, and could probably be re-written to be better in ten minutes.
