Last thursday I picked up a new Beretta 92fs. Never had a chance to take it out over the weekend but I snuck away this afternoon for a couple hours.
I usually research things a bit more before I buy, but I think this one will turn out alright.
I put through about 200 rounds with no FTF's or FTE's, cycled flawless and smooth each and every time. The slide was not locking back on the first couple mags, so I striped it down gave it a bit more lube after two mags, but the tird still didn't lock back after the last round. I was stumped, until I realized my thumb was riding the release
. I felt like an idiot, but adjusted my thumb and it worked flawless every time after.
I am far from a good pistol shooter, still have a lot to learn, so I was happy just to be on the paper even though I started at 15 yrds. After a few rounds it just felt better and better.
The target on the left was my first one at 15yrds the right was my secound.
Next I moved to the 25 yard. Definately need more practice in consistancy but once again, at least on the paper...lol
I gave it a rest between targets and switched to my .45. I usually shoot it ok, but man I was all over the place with it, was lucky to be hitting the back stop, lol. So I went back to the Beretta for another 100 rounds. The only problems are not enough ammo and I feel like I neglected my AR today(doesn't usually happen
)!
