1911 9mm 10 round mags question

Wilson Combat has 10 rounders.
Thin is, when you load it to 10, it will not lock into pistol with the slide closed. There just isn't enough clearance for some odd reason.
I bought some 10 round Meccgar (I think?) 10 rounders, they stick out abit more than the Wilson, but they will insert and lock into place on a closed slide.
That make sense?

My bad, not Meccgar, they were Tripp Research Cobra mags and they will lock into a 1911 with a closed slide and 10 rounds.
Ive got half a dozen Wilson Combat 9mm magazines in my current IPSC gear, and this isn't the case with any magazine in the collection.
They are noticeably more difficult to seat with a slide closed when new, but you should be changing magazines with authority. Change that magazine like you mean it.
I have 3 cobramags which have been excellent also, but had a follower jump the lips while doing black badge certification while empty. Locked the gun up solid.
