Savage asks what would you like us to build next?

A bolt action ,double extractor, colt pistol fed mag .45 ACP with 19" barrel and synthetic stock.....Harold

To all the guys saying .50 they wouldn't be able to export them to us anyhow.

I'm seeing Ruger products mentioned left right and center in this thread.

-Pistol caliber bolt actions/carbines

-16.5" barrel carbines

-Falling block

-High cap detachable mag bolt action

-"Nice all steel and wood .308 with iron sights"

-A 1911

-"375hh 458wm 9.3x62 416 rigby"

-"7.62x39 in something other then their Scout rifle would be great"

-A stainless scout rifle.

They could make them (50 BMG) at there Lakefield plant in Ont.:)

1. Under 6lb combo in 16G/22mag with screw in chokes.
2. Their light weight rifle in good camo and synthetic, chambered in 22-250, 250 Savage, 260, 7mm-08, 308.
3. 22 mag lever.
4. A utility semi (but one that can shoot) to compete with the mini-14, chambered in 223, 22-250 and 250 Savage. Think of the possibilities of that 250 Savage with light or heavy bullets.
5. And of course the wish for modern built 99's in the above calibers.
6. Light, well made, utility O/U shotguns.

It's hard to know when to stop.

I just thought of another couple of requests besides the falling block single. 1. Chamber the model 14 in .257 BOB. And 2. Don't EVER let Cerberus Group get their filthy hands on Savage Arms, please.

Stainless, synthetic Model 10. 16-18" Barrel, quality irons maybe firesights, in buy absolutely anywhere (in Canada) calibers. 30-06, 30/30, 303 Brit. As light as possible. I'm thinking something that would be behind the seat of a bush plane.

Or a takedown stainless synthetic o/u in 20guage and various 30cal. Again, nice and short/light. Same purpose.

Its the price point.

If they chambered the Axis in 7.62x39 it would sell like hot cakes IMO. I'd buy one and I think the Axis is butt freaken ugly.

Why not a bolt-action pistol carbine... Something in .357, .44, or .460 S&W with a real short bolt-throw...

Bingo!
They should build PC carbines based on a shortened Model 12 action with 16" barrels and chamber them in 7.62x25 Tokarev, .38 Super,.357 Sig ,.45 ACP and .50 AE.
With a bolt head swap, they could chamber the wee beasty for popular
rimmed revolver cartridges as well. Offer them with laminate as well
as synthetic stocks and they would have a winner for sure!
:dancingbanana:

A 24C in stainless synthetic (I know they said no but a guy can dream right?) - maybe take over manuf of the M6 Scout in LR, WMR and Hornet over .410 (or better yet - 20 ga...) and I doubt they could make enough of them. Better yet make them with 16" barrels and they'd have a winner on both sides of the border...
