you sure thats not the 590A1 Blackwater pictured?

and yeah, aside from the lame Blackwater logo, the consensus seems to be that you get a lot for your money with these - the XS sights/rail and railed forend added to a standard 590 would tip the price well over what you are paying.

well in any case i think its going to be my next purchase

Yes, pictured is a 590. I have one and it is head and shoulders above the 870's i've had in the past.
Frontier and TSE usually have them. Way better plan than giving wss losers money..

Like what? what is so different between the 590A1 and the 590A1 Blackwater?

the XS sights/rail and railed forend. both of which would put you well over the price of the 'Blackwater' version if you were to add them to a standard 590. unlike most tactical bling offered by firearms manufacturers (especially Mossberg), these are two highly practical upgrades that make the Blackwater version pretty appealing for the price.

cool it gents.... if you dont like "blackwater" dont buy one...

as far as im concerned and the truth behind all this is that its still a mossberg shotty.

I have the 590A1 Blackwater. I removed the Speedfeed stock and put on a Blackhawk Knoxx NRS instead. Much better feeling to me. The shotgun feels really large to me with that 20" barrel (and I'm a big guy). That's the only fault I have with it...otherwise love the thing. It cycles well, fires everytime I pull the trigger, doesn't care what ammo I put through it. I'm not going to lie...I like the BW logo on it. I think I paid $539 + tax from Wanstalls (when they had them). I think it's a pretty good value...

The Blackwater name is defunct and was so after Mossberg decided to use their name & logo for this shotgun.
If anything besides abused like it should it could be an interesting collectable or conversation piece about the infamous PMC outfit.
