Wild West Guns 1895 Co-Pilot

Maybe try Prophet river firearms, site sponser. Or Daves sporting goods in lyndon Washington, they used to export from the states to Canada. You have to pay all the charges for export permits and related paperwork.
I would love to get one of those co-pilots. But I'll have to stick to my 1895gs for now. The co-pilots are still out of my price range.

It's easy:
1.) Talk with manufacturer/dealer/person from whom you're buying, you'll likely have to lay down a deposit.
2.) Call Foreign Affairs and get an IIC (International Import Certificate), doesn't cost anything, they need details on the gun you're importing and your PAL. It takes about a week to get it.

3.) Forward the IIC on to the exporter on the US side, they'll walk you through the remainder of the process which is really simple.
4.) Pay the person from whom you're buying it and they ship it to the exporter.
5.) Exporter takes it from there, takes care of the paperwork on the US side and when it's all done ships it to you.
I just used this guy for an action, started end of Jan and I should have it in the next couple weeks, there were some delays on my part, but I think if everything goes smooth 6-8 weeks and you should be done.

ok, well the rifle in stainless with big loop, and the scout scope and everything runs $3400 done, fully decked out.
If I order 2, I will get 10% off, if I order 3, 12% off, and if I order 4 ill get 15% off.
If there are any guys who might want to get one, we could do a group buy, it is $1700 down payment, and the rest later. wait time is 6 months.

This is what I am in the process of doing just waiting for the info from Wild West. The other thing it's the same export fee for one gun or 20 so the group buy maybe the way to go. All the rifles have to be under one name in a group buy.
You might also check with Corlane's Sporting Goods in Dawson Creek. I seem to vaguely recall that they may have imported them in the past.
As to a suitable revolver (I take it you've abandoned the idea of a .45 ACP for wilderness carry
), if you have cash burning in your pocket, check out Freedom Arms revolvers, or get Hamilton Bowen (bowenclassicarms.com) to do you up something. Doesn't get any better than that. StuartYou know, we have at least three very competent 'smiths here in Canada that I can think of, who could modify a Marlin into takedown configuration. I'll bet none of them would ask more than half that price, and the work would be at least as good, perhaps better. There is no small number of mixed reviews on the Co-Pilot.

I've used both Questar and Prophet River, they are both great to deal with. It is about a 6 month process from start to finish, as someone else pointed out.
