Ruger 10/22 upgrades

What upgrades would you do on a 10/22? New stock, target barrel,trigger job, optic. Let me know what you think.

Well I'd like to make it more accurate. But also I want to change out the really plain wood stock that it came with to something else.

The trigger is probably your biggest thing in terms of accuracy. The stock triggers are far to squishy for reliable accuracy. I'd do that first, and look into the volquartsen parts there really good.

+1 on a trigger job.... You'll be squeezing so hard you'll never be able to keep the sights on sight!

It's really simple actually, I just upgraded with a power custom hammer from hical.ca and polished it all all with the dremel, real light and smooth now

New extractor! I'm not sure how many FTEs you have but a new extractor will remedy this annoying problem.

barrel then trigger are what will get you the most accuracy, extractor will make it more reliable, and a properly bedded stock will also gain you more accuracy

Just do one mod at a time lest you end up like some who's 10/22 will only shoot one particular type of ammo, but oh no, it's not the tweaking.....

Will the 10 22 titanium extractor from hical.ca do the trick?

Do you think the 10/22 target hammer kit from hical is any good? It says it will reduce the trigger pull to 2 and a half pounds.

What about the automatic bolt release, any thoughts? Thanks for the great links and input.
Also can you recommend any type of barrel Or stock?

Auto bolt release you can do yourself with a dremel. I don't know anything about hical. For a barrel and stock...... Depends on what you want/are going to use your rifle.

Target shooting. It's a 100% target shooting gun nothing else.

Hey. I like to help... The auto bolt release is a great mod, I did mine myself. It's just more convenient. Also I just ordered a dlask 16.5" threaded barrel, I love it! Great quality! And I personally use a hogue overmold stock, also from dlask I love it!
