scope for l/r

do you have a budget? 500$ gets you one thing 3000$ gets you another. All can be good recommendations within their price points.

Anyone found any eye relief problems with the 12-50x S&B? I know there are some that are 70mm (2.75") at max magnification. I believe the newest ones are now 90mm (3"). On a HS50 would this lead to scope bite? I know the brakes and weight take up a lot of recoil.

im running the S&B 12-50 on my lapua, its kinda weird having such a short eye relief but no problems yet, for ####s and giggles iv fired a few times with no brake on it and never got bit. Yes is short eye relief, and IMO will only give you problems with poor form. i wouldnt hesitate to use it on a hs50

That's good to know. It looks like a heck of a scope.

Is yours the 70mm eye relief version or the 90mm? Also does the eye relief change with magnification?
 
mine is the 70mm releif, up at 50x it does get a bit shorter althou not to much, but that being said i RARELY ever hav it up past 1round 30x there just isnt any need with glass this nice. Not to mention at 50x with top glass you can pretty much seee your pulse moving you POA around
