Changes to my Savage Axis

i found my axis will spit some hornady ammo out nicely and other hornady ammo just sits there and needs me to pop it out. mines accurate, shoots just under moa at 100 with good factory ammo. great little guns for the money

Buying a bunch of accessories and installing them isn't considered a build. And I hate to rain on anyone's parade here but since when is a basically stock OEM Savage Axis considered a "precision rifle"?

This thread is more appropriate to the hunting firearms forum than this one.

Ok, then, nice assembly. However, if the guy wants to "reach out and touch targets" with his stock Savage Axis, I don't see why he should go talk about it in the hunting forum. Everybody must start somewhere.

This thread hasn't been about shooting though. All I see are posts in references to accessories that have been installed on a $300 hunting rifle.

Having said that, how far do CGN members and "Mods" (?) want to water down and dilute this forum? Accurate sporter based hunting rifles (of all persuasions and brands) are very interesting but this simply isn't the forum for them. I've got a decently accurate Rem 700 ADL in .223 Rem. but I've never once thought this forum was the appropriate place to extol its virtues.

My comments aren't meant as a slight to the OP either. I wish him well in his endeavours.

Where did you get this anti-cant device? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost? I really like how it folds out of the way.
