Best bang for you buck .223 rifle

There's a torture test video on the Daniel defense sight with Larry vickers, honestly of it can survive the stuff they put it through, then it'll survive anything you can put it through, and they really aren't much more cost wise, for a well built AR

Hey man!

I just thought that I would give you my 2 cents.

I have been fortunate enough to own many of the rifles mentioned here.

I have owned:

XCR 223
Tavor
AR15 Full Length
AR15 Carbine x2 (11.5 and 16'')

As well I have fired mini's and Sig's

Right now I would say that Non Restricted is the way to go. Restricted is annoying, it just is.

XCR, Too long, too heavy. I did not like it. After a Bullpup its hard to go back. Shot about 500 rnds with a DR1-4 on top. Liked the look but not the feel.

Tavor - Loved it, but stuipd $$$$$. I wrote my jeep off and sold my gun to buy a car, and insure it for a year. Not worth the $2800-3100

AR- Just Blah, nothing special about them, as well quality varies quite a bit, the ones I owned never had issues, however some of my friends that I shot with had issues. And they are Res.

I have shot the Mini 14 and the Kel SU-16

These are the two that I am looking at right now as my .223 NR gun. I bought a Specter DR for work in 08, and now that I am a civilian I really need something to put it on.

He does are really solid job of going over the rifle completely.

This I am about 90% sure will be my next .223. It is accurate, very very light, inexpensive and has a nice feel. The only thing I think I dont like about it is the look of the rifle. But I can get over that.

Anyways if you have specific questions I could shed some lite on them.

He isn't for "real". If you can't speak english, don't speak at all.
He should be aware that cops and others do monitor this site. Trying to sound like an retard, doesn't help our cause.

And if you can't spell English, don't write at all? We are neither in prison nor we are all military so we don't need to be the same. I think this guy is fun to have around and besides I don't remember him saying stupid things, it's just the way he's saying it. "Cops and others" are here? So what.

Get over yourself.. Girt's posts are just like everyone else's, no one here is looking to be published or evaluated on their grammer

Dirt McReject is doing no service to this forum or to firearms owners. The guy actively goes out of his way to write with a ridiculous put on accent, it takes active effort to write like that and consider the spelling required to make the English language as backwards and "cool" as he thinks he can. It's one thing to make spelling mistakes, what he does is entirely different. He's also yet to make a single meaningful post, ever, from my understanding. If you want him on your side he's all yours.

I am sure whoever it is gets a kick out of all the fuss being made about him and the fact that this thread is now about him. Probably best just to ignore. My 2 cents.

Interesting topic, I am in the market for an non-restricted 223. Leaning towards the mr1 personally.

McGirt's back! YAAAAAY!!!! Sorry for almost hijacking. Being a purist at heart, Weatherby Vanguard .223 BUT, I really am lening toward the 'fun' side myself these days and with a short wallet maybe you should try a norinco CQ. Haven't yet myself, but heard good things.

.223 black rifle, probably the SU-16. It will be the end of the registry gift to myself after I put the down payment on my condo.

I have an AR-180B. I think the SU-16 isn't as scarey looking and the fact it can be folded up nicely makes it easy to stuff in a bag and walk out of said condo without looking like you actually have a gun. I'd rather keep a lower profile in that reguard then advertising I have guns. I don't want my place hit when I am away.

I will keep the AR-180B as my SHTF gun in any case, though that may switch to an AR when they go non-restricted (keeping my hopes up!!) that I have not aquired yet.

The SU-16 I can stuff in a duffle and strap to the DR650 and go for a ride out to the woods to shoot. No one will know there is a gun on the bike.

I think they are the best bang for the buck at $800, and you can dress them up with AR-15 stocks and railed forarms if you want. I might spring for railed forearms but not the AR-15 stock as it can't be folded as compactly then and that's part of the reason for me wanting this firearm.

And the best part is they are NR so you don't need to register them anymore.
