AK style butt stock for cz858?

There's been a couple threads that I've seen concerning wood furniture for the CZ858 & VZ58.

The thread about an upcoming Canadian Edition CZ with engraved hardwood stocks, & one guy (bfiles) even made his own (AK style, pic'd below).

Yeah exactly like that one in the middle, I prefer the look of the AK style butt stock over the oddly shaped one that comes on the 858. I am planning on getting the canadian edition.
Did you make that yourself or ? I would like to get a similar one when I get my 858 in a couple months. I plan to leave the engraved pistol grip and gas tube cover stuff on mine since its engraved. I only want to swap the butt for one that looks like the AK's, and just stain it the same colour so it matches.
Very nice by the way.

Yes that is correct. Thing is they take a lot of time to make and to get the metal hardware is very hard to obtain aswell. Cuz of this people dont like the prices we are asking but in reality people want the AK wood but want it cheap. So cuz of this people who ARE really interested should contact my buddy and another great cgn'er buttwhat and ask him what you want.

Just to clarify a few things for you... The expense I incur making these come from the fact of the relation of the bolt length and the comb of the stock. Through trial and error I have come to realize I need to machine a custom bolt that is longer so it wont come so close to the top comb of the AK stock and crack... or break through when drilling. I machine these parts myself and it is a tedious process. The other cost has been getting AK butt plates, swivels and screws. Getting them from the U.S. is a hassle so I go overseas. I could buy the parts separate but have found that buying a whole used butt from an actual AK and stripping and refurbing the parts was cheaper. Saying that, its not really that cheap once I get shipping ect in there. Then there is the cost of the actual wood which I prefer to hand select from a mill and let dry to a certain percentage. This whole process takes quite a while as anyone whom I have made a set for will attest to. I do not have the luxury of doing this full time as I have a regular job and everything is done by hand ...not mass produced machinery. I usually take my time and keep in contact with the buyer sending pics of my progress through out in case they have other requests or changes. Bfiles could probably do a slide show from beginning to end with the amount of pics he has *shakes fist* ;) If I could afford some better machinery in the (hopefully) near future I may be able to offer my services for less. I was going to offer some sets (folders) on here but have decided to hold off for a while as I wanted to get CGN approval 1st... but didn't like the response I was told by the admin and there is no offense taken. I will take another route so I do not offend any of the businesses and comply with the rules set forth by the CGN staff.
Thank you for the kind comments on Bfiles sets...I know he loves them just as much as I loved making them. Bfiles always has good ideas that we share together on how to make some of the best furniture and original mods and hopefully one day soon they can be yours too. It is always a pleasure doing business with Bfiles...he knows what he wants and is always open to suggestions. We have known each other for quite some time now and the ideas keep getting better...better look out if we ever deviate from the VZ platform/family and enter into the SKS field...ooops...did I just say that?? Disregard that last bit...I love the VZs!!!! ;)
