Benelli M2 3Gun

Unfortunately, most of the well known 3 gun smiths are from the States. How crazy are you looking to get? Just upgrading some parts or full on bolt & loading port modifications...

All the mods except perhaps for the trigger work are DIY...

Opening the loading gate is some time with files and emery paper..
There's how to's out there on the interwebs.

Bolt and loading port mods are full on gunsmithin now?

No one said that at all. It was suggested that if the OP was going to modify his gun that he have a certified gunsmith perform the work.

I'm sure there are many people on here that are more than capable of doing the work themselves. As stated most of it can be done with basic files.

How many bolts and/or receivers have you taken a file or demel to in your day? I'm guessing not as many as most gunsmiths out there.

I have read many threads where people have messed-up a brand new gun attempting to dremel the loading port by themselves later to send it out to Benny in hopes that he could salvage it.

If I was a gunsmith, I would buy all my customers dremel tools for Xmas. The damage they do would keep me busy for years!
Need someone to do my m2 as well. ;)

so its a better idea to buy the gun stock, then spend the money making it the same as the 3 gun version by sending it to a gunsmith instead of just buying it all setup already?

personally id buy it set up and skip the gunsmith.

Buying a Regular M2 field is much cheaper (US MSRP of $1359 vs. $2699 from the Performance Shop). Plus you get to pick the parts that are used to modify the gun.

But, your absolutely right. That doesn't mean it is a better option for everyone. Buying the 3 gun version (if you can get it in Canada) has it's own advantages as well. One major advantage being that it is already completed so you don't have to wait (probably several months) for a gunsmith to finish the mods before you can use it (especially this time of year if you want to enter any competitions during the summer). It also retains the Benelli factory warranty (some might argue that it's a Benelli so that is negligible).

Keep in mind that several other companies also offer their own version of the 3 gun edition:

M2 3 Gun Modifications

I would call Casey at Tactical Ordnance in Ontario

He's very good

I second that. He did an excellent job on my M2 to make it ready for 3-Gun - replaced the stock, installed Arredondo speed tube guide bracket, procured 24" barrel, installed speedbead sight, the works. Highly recommend.

Yep called Casey yesterday, He's going to do the gun for me. I'll keep ya guys posted on the results

Keep me in the loop - just emailed Epps today and they replied and I quote:

"Our Benelli distributor does not yet have access to pricing or availability on this firearm. This model has only recently been announced by Benelli, and is not yet available to order.

Please keep a watchful eye on our website. Once this shotgun does become available, it will be listed there, along with full descriptions and prices for each model."

So unless I want to wait - I'm going to have to make do...
