6.5 Rifles from trade-ex

I have purchased three Mosins and a TT33; and as others have said, they were all way better than Anthony described. Trade Ex is a pleasure to deal with!

In general, I concur with the above statements. I'd be a bit careful about picking up one of the cheaper sported milsurps, particularly the ones with some "value added" gunsmithing such as scope bases. Some of these were done fairly crudely ( I have two examples, both of which required some remedial work.) The mounting flaws only become apparent when you mount a scope - so it would be difficult to hold Tradex culpable.

Posted this in the Milsurp section - I am very pleased with my purchase and Anthony was a great guy to deal with.

CG63 - This one is mine!
I didnt know whether to post this here or under precision rifles, but I didnt want a snooty you should have bought a savage, remington .......

Its wood, its blued metal, its a Mauser, its 6.5 x 55 and its in better condition than the folks at Tradeex had rated it.

Anthony was great to deal with - he pulled out three that I was looking at on his web site and described them over the phone. I picked this one as I have a couple other Husqvarna M38s and I love them. I ordered on the 23rd and had it here by the 28th - great guys to deal with and their customer service is top notch.

My first foray into a target rifle, I wont be going to the Olympics with it, but will be looking forward to using it in our local club matches.

Now need to work up some loads for it, have some Laupa 139 gr bullets that need a purpose, and I hope to get out to the range with it soon and get a range report done.

I've bought more than a few guns from Trade Ex. Most were Husqvarnas with a few CGs and a Tikka, along with some Russian Mil-Surps. Never was I disappointed in any of my dealings. Just ask questions, and get Anthony to send you more pictures.

Hi,

I got 4 rifles from tradeex and was happy with them except for the .22 cal which got damaged (butt plate cracked) during shipping. The best rifle among them was M96 in 6.5x55 (1917 Carl Gustaf's receiver). That rifle was biuld to last, no doubts.

i bought a 6.5 husqvarna from tradex, the thing was in AWESOME shape, drilled and tapped for scope, action bedded, customized stock etc

i spent the extra money for one in very good condition, i looked and rifling looks brand new, not gbad for a 60+ year old gun
