A Class Act (Krico)

I have a Krico 650SS in .308Win with almost 14,000 rounds down the barrel. It still clover-leafs my handloads at 100m.

I really reap the rewards of that 26" heavy barrel out at 900m/1000yds with my NSX on top, helped by the 'target' trigger that still breaks like a glass rod after more than 25 years.

I concur with the opinion of Dr Kriegeskorte - a real gentleman in all his dealings.

I love the butter knife bolt....

Also....I know this is a rimfire thread but feel free to post pics of any Kricos you have.

I shot the old girl today, just got back actually!

I love it! Shoots a hell of a lot better than I do, at the moment. It puts my old Nylon remington to shame, accuracy wise. Not a misfire or issue, and seemed to like all three of the brands I fed it.

I've always been skeptical of the butterknife bolts, but after using this one today for a good long while, I'm becoming a bit of a fan...it just feels "right" when you give it that little thumb/palm slap down into battery.

Does anyone know who in Canada brings in RWS ammo, offhand? I've heard a rumor Kricos shoot better with the german ammunition, so perhaps there is a very slight measurement difference or something.

Please, show all your Kricos, rimfire or no!

my Krico

Is a 22 hornet with the double set triggers, interesting looking piece of wood and a real fun round to shoot. 5 round mag, if I knew how to post pics....... FS

My trigger is set to go off too light for my liking.(in the low ounces) Also double triggers aren't the best thing in a hunting rifle in my opinion.

Meh...I was thinking more for careful target work. That light trigger has to be nice for that.

I've never lived anywhere until recently that had anything worth eating that was killable with a .22, and I don't kill what I don't eat, anymore.

Well, 'cept big halibut...we had those ;) And grouse...good luck finding them though :p

Holy Jeebus, Even2...you call those pictures???:D LOL, just yanking your chain a bit. That is a cool and classy little gun. Congrats. I agree with the idea of leaving the stock as is.

Hey! I know I've got a lot of work to do to match SOME of the gun photography on here! Some guys are just awesome at it ;)

Yeah, 2006Vinson's post got me thinking earlier too...I'll leave it as is. Its actually better looking than the pictures show, as the wood has that old, well-handled smoothness to it.

Thanks guys :)
