Have you called P&D? That is where I got mine. Love it so much, I got a flat top version. If your bud is plaining on putting on a red dot or any optics, I'd really get the flat top. The handle makes the optics height too high. Like 5" on my hd7 red dot. Just fyi. I cut my handle off and now its down to 2.75"
Yes please do!!! Call Cabelas and be put on a wiat list. I heard they ordered over 500 of them.
Like I said, if you shoot with optics, a flat top is what you want. If you only shoot with irons, the handle version is cheaper and the way to go.

i was at cabela's in WPG a couple weeks ago, and the lady working behing the gun counter there told me they ordered a bunch, both models..... i asked twice about the flat top as people have been saying they are discontinued.... she said they were ordered. i really want one for my son.
