Canadian Infantry firefight video showing many malfunctions of the C7

Well outside the "Infantry 500 meters" or whatever the current excuse for the limitations of .223 is. Nice to see he was taking careful aim, apparently. Sort of strange how he suddenly wound the adjustment on the scope out to the max. After that you have to just aim high and hope I guess. Not that you have much hope at that distance with that round. They must have forgotten their doctrines temporarily.

Half a finger left of the patch of trees on the hill! LOL!

How that brings back memories! Use your own units to determine targets!

And a few of the stoppages were operator error. One blatant one was cocking the rifle, then inserting the mag.

I was british military and had very few problems with stoppages on the L85A2. The only issue you could have at times is if your not paying attention to how your bumping in your mag. being a bullpup its hard to reload sometmes and in the heat of things you dont depress the mag fully in. bad drills mostly. rifles are rarely the problem if you maintain it well and kiss it at night and give it words of love ;)

i also agree with the other post speaking about the guy fixing his head cam. If i was his buddy in that firefight id be ####ing slap him back at the FOB afterwards. covering means exactly that. COVERING your buddies and observing your front for targets. not fixing your youtube camera so you can show off to your buddies back home. unprofessional really. just my opinion.

big respect though to the guys in the video and all CF forces worldwide. keep up the good work. pleasure working with you guys

First round, he's holding it by the magazine.

As for the rounds after that, I can't tell if he's leaning the mag on the dirt wall or not.

Monpoding off the mag does not induce stoppages, that is a myth.

First off, he needs to stop slapping the trigger. He needs to back his finger off the trigger and use the index pad, not the first joint.

As was demonstrated, the "SPORTS" acronym is a waste of f**king time as is slapping the forward assist. His IA failed to include a tap/tug of the magazine, and that "tac latch" is f**king awful.. My money is on a piss poor magazine. Aluminum mags are dead.

TDC

Yea the only way monopoding your rifle on your mag causes issues, is if it's an out of spec mag or gun, if everything's to spec, then you're really g2g.... when i shoot my AR prone, I use the mag as a monopod all the time, never had any issues, though I DO use PMAGs

He still covering his buddies, and trust me its very rare you capture one cause nobody wheres em 24/7

I was taught, and have used the 2nd stoppage mag swap method.

2 Stoppages on the same mag and it goes into the dumper, or is tossed depending on the reload.
This kinda #### happens when your mags have stayed loaded for like 5 years.
Bent lips or a worn out spring or something it looks like.

Dirt McGirt version: "youz be droppinz dat shizznit yo, if it be all stoppin on da fly. homie dont play that......straight up ya heeeeeerd"

Not my native tongue, but I can get by.

Dirty McGirt is awesome guys. Take that big stick out of your asses and you might actually laugh once in awhile. Life if too serious as it is.

The problem with this site is that everyone here is so f**king judgemental. Who cares how he decides to portray himself, its non of our f**king buisness and only god can judge. As far as I am concerened he is just another fukin gunnut, no better or nor worse then yall
:puke::puke:

I'm guessing I should have put a smiley at the end of mine.
I wasn't trying to #### on the guy, I actually get a laugh out of it.

I've shared a LAV with dudes who spoke like that, I sure as #### don't mind sharing the internets.

Lol.

Word.

As long as all our guys made it out of the fight, everything else is just a bonus, and experience.
