Which rail on a T3 Varmint in 223?

Ok my T3 Varmint arrived. Which Picatinny Rail should I put on it? Will be using a Swarovski with BRH reticle.

That looks like a blued model? Did you grab that from Prophet River? I like the Farrel rail, personally, it also does not extend past the receiver face and interfere with scope placement.

Yup it's blued. Was a special order of a model made to my requirements. I ordered it through Adam at Gagnon Sports once the model number was made up by Sako. Seems no one ever ordered a blued Varmint with the threaded 20" barrel and a factory installed single set trigger before.

If you don't mind me asking, was it comparable in price to a standard Varmint model? What was the wait time? Very nice!

The single set trigger was an extra. Other than that it would have been cheaper than a Stainless Varmint. Took Sako 3 months to make it,then Stoeger had it for over a month for some reason.

I used standard leupold bases and ring... not real flashy, but they work!

If I was going railed base, I'd get an EGW one... you can get 0 or 20 MOA.

I didn't know you could get a single set trigger on a T3. I bet that will be nice.

Nice looking gun, I use a standard Leupold on mine too, regular stainless varmint, now modify the magazine and get those 80 grainers flying

Usually Stoeger installs them,but I wanted one installed and test fired at the Factory.
