Peple don't use these one in all's anymore. You're better served getting a seperate soft armour/plate carrier system from oneshot - the BFG LMAC. As I have to head down to AZ again this spring, I will see if they will let me add it to the quote =)

In afrique francophone, we use what the local nationals use, so they don't get jealous...s**tty level 4 one in alls...These stupid things.

Now I do. Haha oops. I figure I have a few months to learn this stuffs. Its actually quite straightforward to ship things with air france into french africa when ur client is also air france's largest client.

Kinda like the old days with aircanada and mil flights. Those were the days...
 
I took the pdw out to the range yesterday. I only had limited time so i grabbed what i thought i needed, and what ammo i had lying around the house. Snce i've been back i havent yet had a chance to stock up on ammo so i just used some leftover ae tactical and wolf ammo.

I brought along my stag carbine as a baseline.

I loaded a random mix of ammo into metal mags, some norinco, some usgi, some lar10, no poly.

Bottom line, i was having extraction problems and resulting double feeds. I would run the same mags and ammo In the carbine to ensure that it wasnt a mag feeding or ammo pressure issue, the carbine as always eats everything.

In two case i had stuck cartridges. First case the spent casing was cammed up between the gas return tube of the bcg and the charging handle.
Second time, the wolf spent casing was in the barrel, and wouldnt extract, until i used cleaning kit to pop it out.

Im going to talk to tse first to get some troubleshooting tips. Then ill contact nea.

I only lubed her once before the start of the range time. I was doing slow deliberate shooting to sight in the iron sights and the red dot. I dont believe a rifle needs to be lubed so many times in order to function properly especailly at a sanitized setting such as the range.

In other news tho, i was trying to hit the gong at 100m, and i heard the pings consistently. And i know that i will stick with the bfg two point sling over a one point. I will try to find a mounting solution so thhe sling attaches closer to the magwell rather than using the qd hole.

The ftes were not consistently happening, just randomly, but happened with every mag.
I may try the 10 pmags i have, but i think its something internal.

Was it any specific type of ammunition or magazine - or all over the place?

The pressure has to be higher. The reason is that there is less dwell time.

Once the bullet passes the gas port, gas starts feeding up the port and into the action, whether you have a DI or a piston gun. It continues to do that until the bullet exits the muzzle, at which point the remaining gas takes the path of least resistance and follows out the muzzle.

In an SBR, there is a shorter period of time between the time the bullet passes the gas port and exits the muzzle. So there is less time for the gas to feed up into the action. Because of this, the gas port is enlargened and a larger amount of gas is fed into the action in order to get enough volume of gas to cycle the bolt.

the fact of the matter is that NEA should have addressed this in thier original designs, if not there will be lots of issues with the 7.5's....maybe thats why they have taken so long to get them out to the retailers..
