I am looking at getting an x-bolt hunter in a 300 win mag. Wondering what people think about them. Whether they are worth buying or not? Any feedback would be great.
Thanks
Brian

Exellent gun,270 wsm can shoot better than me.Some would say that was not saying much!Fit and finish, good. Not a lot of felt recoil, because of the pad being like sponge.Really good trigger.

I have never shot one but when I had a look at them in the store and shouldered one I found it to be the nicest fitting off the shelf rifle for me.

As for looks I rather like the look of them.

Never shot one, but handled one, well fondled one at our local store.
Detach mag release and install was smooth, easy and just too simple.
Would be my choice over Brownings previous bunch.
Slim and easy to shoulder.
I don't care for the plastic/stainless version.
The wood/blue would be my choice.
Decent scope hold down system too.

I fired a friends 22-250 x-bolt hunter on the weekend. I will likely get one in 308. I didn't think I'd like the magazine, but it turned out to be really easy to put in and take out, a big plus. Trigger was great.

No hands on experience with the new X bolts. I just don't like the looks of them.

Have had a few different Abolts over the years. Still have a composite stalker in .300 Win Mag which would be my go to for a moose or elk hunt. Generally, I like Abolts, although I own more of the other big makers.... Rem, Win, Ruger & Tikka.

NAA.

I have one, think it's a great rifle, but it just isn't as nice looking as say, the winchester m70 featherweight. Felt better in my hands though, so that's why I chose it.

Good trigger(my favourite of any trigger I've touched, for hunting.), and the 60 degree bolt lift is a nice feature, you don't end up hitting the scope with your hand.

Here's my cousin shooting mine, hunter model in .30-06
