I finally started fixing up my CSA carbine in 7.62 last month and finally got the parts together. I think it turned on nice. I still have a couple more things I'm planning for it though.

Where did you get the optic mount? Is it solid? I've been debating whether or not to get one for mine...

I got the optic mount from Zahal.org but Wolverine and Armco carries them also. It feels very solid once locked into place. I highly recommend it. Why most people choose not to take advantage of the side mount on these rifles is beyond me. I don't care for the look or having the red dot so far forward on the handguard.

great looking Rifle OP, kind of a noob question, would that furniture (front hand guard and pistol grip) fit on a cz 858 as well? I know the rifles ar similar, but yours looks super, and I am considering a local 858 but the beaver barf makes me want to puke.

I just got mine and it looks bad assssssss, the QD scope mount wont go on because I have the folding stock and sling attachment point gets in the way of the removal.

still these things are awesome looking, who wants an AK after owning these

Yeah, I've got optics forward on the handguards, and while I don't mind that, I'd prefer them farther back too. I think I'll try that...

I've got the same rifle you do (center) :)

Thanks fellas! I should also add that you can still see/use your iron sights should your optic fail. You still have a good sight picture using your iron sights which is completely visible underneath the side mount.
