X bolt- good or bad?

Not bad rifles. Fired a friends 7rem Mag X-bolt. Surprisingly, the felt recoil wasn't as sharp as other 7Mags. As stated earlier, soft recoil pad helps.

Just keep the barrel off the block. It will effect the point of aim. Rest the forestock on it.

As for me, im a Ruger and Winchester fan. Although someday I'll probably add an abolt to my safe.

Hard to tell a new shooter anything until they take a couple shots, in my experience. Won't listen/understand what you're saying. After a few shots, they're ready for some pointers. (Again, my experience taking a bunch of new shooters out, but I'm pretty new myself.)

I will have a m70 in .270 one day, those winchesters just look good.

I really like the short action x-bolts but I find the bolt binds a bit on the long actions. Also not a fan of the little plastic part at the back of the mag well that holds the mag in place.

They are really nice to shoot and I have found the accuracy to be excellent as well. If buying a Short action bolt it would be an x-bolt and if I was buying a long action bolt it would be an a-bolt or tikka T3.
