I own a Benelli Supernova in 3.5"

It sees very few 3.5" shells to be honest. The vast majority are 3" for hunting and 2.75" for target shooting.

To me, 3.5" is a fun gimmick, but nothing much further then that. You will not be able to do much more with a 3.5" then you can with your bone stock 3".

Just my .02.

I have 2 12ga 870s, 3" and 3 1/2". I hunt with my 3" because it fits me better and I am a better shot with it. Buy the gun that fits you, that you like the feel and balance of.

It looks like there are a lot of guys shooting 3 inch reserving their opinions on this thread.

After having the 3.5 for years my second 12 gauge was a 3" semi. I didn't find a big enough difference in my hunting between 3 and 3.5, plus already had it covered if need be. The only thing I use 3.5 for is turkeys. I bet I could still whack gobblers with 3 or 2 3/4 loads but have about 4 boxes left before I decide on that.

Most 3.5" people are making up for other shortcomings.

You think?? You should see what they do to trolls;)
Some of the best shooters out there use 3 1/2"
To each their own I say but one thing for sure I sell enough guns to know not to buy 3" if I intend to resell.
3 1/2" camo in pumps and semi are the best sellers by far and hold their values.
