Sig Sauer 1911 stainless Target ( Range report March 10th )

Well this gun is awsomme, Best 1911 I have ever grouped with... ( groups better then my glock )

1 flyer ( the other hole is from my .223) My little girl had as blast shooting targets.... lol....

Im never selling thing gun... Only had 50 rounds to play with today, took 10 to zero... I love those adjustable sights....

Nice pistol and grouping; been reading so much good things about SIG 1911s I think I want one! Great purchase!

Make sure your daughter is careful with that finger on the trigger :)

Man this pistol keeps getting better... Now I need to find a 9mm that shoots as good as this SIG 1911...

When I got to the range a few guys said to me did you bring your SIG... LoL... Now If I can only find a nice 9mm to replace that awful glock of mine...

If you like one Sig, why not try another? My Sig P226 in 9mm is wicked accurate too, I do better with it than with my Sig 1911 Stainless Carry....and my Sig P220 Equinox is also very accurate. Can't really go wrong with them.

Just might have to give the P226 a try. I was saving money up for a S&W 686, But change of plans... I hope I sell my Glock quick...

You won't regret trying it. I'm one payment away from having my newest Sig in the fold, a P226 Stainless Elite in .40 S&W that I've been drooling over. Not many around, so I put it on layaway when I found one at a good price (Wolverine). Would already have it but the gubmint bled me white for taxes this year.

Suggest you try an E2 model, with the SRTrigger

I'd fully recommend a SIG P226 Elite w/SRT trigger.
I'm shooting my SIG P226 Elite Stainless for the last 5 yrs and as you previous said about your SIG 1911, it's so accurate that sometimes is no more fun to shoot it ....LOL
cheers !

That is the one! Slimmer grips than standard, which I like (even though I don't have one yet!) and the SRT, which really smoothes out follow up shots IMO. Seems like the price is fair, going rate anyway. Also get the nite sites and beavertail, which I like. If you get that bad boy, you may find the 1911 getting dusty in the safe!

There is a German one on there as well... for 1300 i wonder if it has the SRT... Just got a PM about my Glock... If the Glock sales im jumping on this one...

What are the advantages on the elite > ?

Tooools youuuuuuu! :D

Go sig or go home. Glad you found your happy place.

We were doing load testing yesterday, and I found that I was grouping the tightest with the Sig 1911. It really is an amazing firearm. I was too busy with load dev to think about pictures though :(

Yeah If I dont like the P226 i might just pick up the Sig Sauer 1911 Traditional Match Elite in 9mm

If it as accurate as my Target model ill be happy

I bought two COLTS last year 1911-2011 models in STAINLESS STEEL. Series 80 and they have since been sent to the gunsmith to be tweeked.

Where did you find a TME in 9mm? I wasn't aware Sig 1911s in 9mm had made their way up here just yet?

Thanks,
Cal.

So this will be my next purchase when I get the funds...
