CSA VZ58 223 Mags - Where To Get?

Hey all.

Looking for these mags for a 223 version. Want steel mags..................

IS there such an animal?

Originally thought I would go the machining route and get the magwell adaptor. Then thought about just buying 5 mags. But don't like the plastic ones.

May go back to plan A.

It's part of the reason I went with the magwell adapter; not being able to have proper metal mags. That and having LAR-15 mags

Missed being included in the free machining by a few.

But pretty well knew this when I bought.

I see that the plastic mags are not loved around here, but I have a dozen or so and have been using them from day one and find that they are reliable, tough and quite ugly ... Other than that, no complaints.

I put one in the rifle once and thought "how long will this last"

Was trying to decide where to spend the money; shipping/machining/magwell adaptor or just buy a few plastic mags.

Kinda think in the end it will work out to about the same ish. And AR mags can be found anywhere for reasonable $$ over the plastic CSA mags.

So will send to Tac Ordanance when I can get caught up.

I'm sure the plastic mags work well but I'd prefer to use the LAR 10 round mags so I'll be getting the machining done soon enough.

polymer/plastic.....close enough...it's not aluminum which it should be. They seem a bit flimsy, even the gen2, they work like a hot damn though

I worked in a polymer plant way back when. It was hard durable stuff. So I have no complaints.

Could change when I get my hands on one, though..............

CSA seems to have indicated that they might run off some aluminum magwells if there is enough interest. We should start pestering! Mine is in at Tac-Ord right now, hope to be shooting by end of next week. As far as I know, you can switch back to your factory mags at any time by putting in OEM equipment. I have no intention of selling my original mags, they work just fine, and I can switch back if needs be!

totally, i'm keeping the factory mags, might even buy more...and then one day, god willing, stupid mag limits will be reversed and i can revert back to factory configuration...until then i'll run the csa adapter and pistol mags
