I recently ordered in a new Robinson Xcr-L tan in .223 from Wanstalls. I went and picked it up on a tuesday, quickly looked it over at the store, fit and finish, however not paying much attention to the fine details of the rifle....knowing it should have ambidextrous safetly regrardless. It was thursday night at home i took the rifle out of the case to play with it a little and looking at it noticed, hmmm.....wait a minute, something is missing? Ambidextrous Safety!!!!!. And let me make this CLEAR, this isn't Wanstalls mistake, nor Wolvarines. Its quility control at Robinson Arms. Buddy must have went on coffee break and come back and forgot to install selector switch. By the way Wanstalls was AWSOME, they would have let me straight up switch for a OD Green one they had in stock, or wait for a new one to come into stock, or simply take the switch off another rifle and install it on mine....which i chose....Thanks Craig.

My question to you is, when your paying $2700 taxes included for a rifle, I know Canadian cost, not American, this kind of stuff shouldn't happen....And NO, the part wasn't shaken loose from shipping....there wasn't a drop of loctite in the part, it simply wasn't installed. I know Robinson Armament is a small company,.....BUT COME ON!!!!!! Really?

I think you answered your own question. ;)

Nice one!! It's all in the delivery.

+1 on Wanstalls. those guys are great.

I have an XCR-L and like it. I think the design is pretty good but I have to agree with many others that RA QA is ####. I bought a 223 conversion kit, and my bolt failed after 1500 rounds. Thanks for Barry at Bits of Pieces helping me troubleshoot it. When you get things from RA that are to spec, they work great, but they let too much #### slide.
Hope you enjoy your gun as much as I enjoy nine despite the set backs.

I'm not going to defend RA on this. It is my experience though that many products from many different companies from time to time come from the factory with assembly or part defects. What makes the difference is the way the dealer/manufacturer rectify the situation. Seems like the dealer came through.

As long as your dealer makes things right it is good. It`s when your dealer doesn`t want to help things get ugly. That applies to more than just firearms.

:agree:
Any questions or issues I have had in the past were all quickly taken of care by RA and Wolverine!
I am 100% satisfied with my XCR and the customer service I have received.
