I bought a RRA 9mm AR, and I have the pinned 10 round mags that Questar sells. I'm trying to locate a legally pinned hi capacity mag, which I realize would be pinned to just 5 rounds. Questar won't order them from RRA, any ideas?

Current market value on these is whatever someone is willing to pay. And people that want them, do.

You?

Try ****** international outfitters. I ordered 2 33rd glock 17 clips and 2 33rd aftermarket clips for my cz's from them. No problem with customs and total price was around 200.00 for all four mags. Don't know if they offer what you're looking for but you'll just have to check. The guy is pretty quick to reply to questions.

It's h y c a p s dot net. I don't know why we can't print it but the guy is awsome.

Arms East sold 32 round (pinned at 5) colt mags for the Thureon Defense. They were very reasonably priced at $49.99. Unfortunately they are Out of Stock.

They did have a slight modification to the follower for the Thureon, but I'm pretty sure they would work fine in other rifles.

I'm pretty sure they will have stock again in the next month or two.

Of course it is. I wouldn't pay that, but others do and have. Why, because anything other than Colt OEM 9mm mags is futile.

I guess you have to pay if you want to play. Do Colt mags work the best? I've read that most mags do not cause the bolt to stay open on the last shot. Which is a nice feature if you can get it to work.

What does OEM in Colt OEM 9mm mag mean? Thanks.

These are Uzi mags, and for now Arms East is only selling to Thureon Defence carbine owners. Still once they catch up on Theron buyers, they should be some for AR 9mm users, but how well do they work? Anybody know?

OEM ... Original Equipment Manufacture.

And yes, Colt mags DO hold the bolt open after last round is expended. Converted Uzi mags for instance, do not.

I don't remember for sure, but I think there are the short, 10 round 9mm mags which don't either. I owned a few and quickly sold them. (ProMag??) Would not drop free from my Rock River magwell adapter, nor my Colt and are somewhat frustrating to extract if that's the case.

I have and use the 10 round gen II CP-LAR15 Questar pistol mags that work great, they pop in and click properly unlike the RRA 5/15 mag that came with the gun, and pop out with ease.

Problem is that they're so short that you have to catch them when they pop out. They're really tiny so it really sharpens you reflexes and hand/eye co-ordination.

However they don't hold the bolt open, which is annoying. So the Colt mag increases in perceived value, performance based value is acceptable.

The irony of it all is that I bought a 9mm AR because it's cheaper to shoot, especially at an indoor range where the only other option is frangible .223 which is $1.50 a shot!!! So I guess the savings can go towards to the Colt mags. I'm certainly learning to appreciate their value.
