Question: are the match shirts for L3 ($60) the same old cotton button down shirts or the new techwear stuff?

they are not Techwear, at that price they will probably be a breathable micro fiber, but not Techwear. Techwear is a specific company, not a genertic type of shirt. saying a shirt is Techwear type is like saying your Honda is a BMW type car

pre stained is an extra charge, if you buy them clean then do it yourself it becomes a custom made shirt

They are the techwear "like" material you are thinking about. If you have seen the new RO shirts, they are the same material as those.
