I have 2 of the Harris 9-13 in swivel base with notched legs , 6-9 in is for benchrest shooting.
The notched leg version is easier to set up.

I added the locking levers as well to mine as it makes it easier to use.

If you get the swivel base model get yourself the bipod locking lever as well for it......this lever makes it easier to lock the bipod in place.

I have one mounted on my archangel stock for my M-305 and this one on my savage 93FV 22WMR

For what it's worth, I use that bipod part as a "friction adjustment", rather than a "lock". I set it snug enough that the bipod holds whatever orientation it has, but loose enough so that I can intentionally twist the rifle while I am in a shooting position in order to establish the rifle in a level position.

cptseawolf, check with 45ACPKING. He will set up your Harris so that the front drain hole remains open while the issue sling setup is still used. Basically you add a fourth hole at the rear and move the sling bracket. The Harris goes in between the drain hole and the sling.

:agree:
When I seen an 1.11 pound CQB stock I told ICR that I wanted that bad...
But I told him that I did not want it full of rail's. All I wanted on the bottom was a QD stud to attach my Harris bi-pod to. So then he said no problem.
So he sent me these pic's of my furture stock...

But me being my difficult self I wasn't happy with it unless he made it in this camo pattern that he was talking about all the time. So with out hesitation the next day I open up my email account and these are the picture's I seen...

Well I told him I want it! But unless he was going to sell me that ATV he better get that bad boy wrapped up and shipped out ASAP.
Then he told me the price and here is the real shocker...

Too funny eh?
Hey I sent you a bunch of pics of the new ICR M305 Tactical Modstock.
300.00 base price with bipod stud and standard sling loop. 340.00 for cammo, don't come with grips or buttstock assemblies. 5 year warranty, 40.00 trade in credit given for chinese plastic stocks
2 week turnaround and have 3 in stock ;)
Damm @ $300 for that Camo bad boy how the hell can I say no. Now sure I love my rifle's black but that killer paint job will do the job quite nicley next time I am out in the bush waiting for that big "buck" to stroll on by. Plus with all the money I am saving compared to the Pro-Mag stock never mind the weight saving's I said well it's a no brainer. So it look's like he will only have 2 now left in stock :p

Here's a do it yerself bipod mounting method that WILL SAVE YOU CASH ;)
You will need the following tools:
A bastard file and a finishing file.
A bench vice with acceptable jaw covers to hold the stock securely
A drill
a sling stud, washer and backing nut
2 allen key button screws with backing nuts 3/4" long

Remove sling plate and rivets. Save the washers, ditch the rivet.
Use the coarse file to make. the sling plate mounting area longer towards the magwell. Enough to set the sling plate "1 hole to the rear".
Mark the hole and drill.
Inside the stock this hole will position just behind one of the chinese plastic stocks ribs. Remove any material that would impede mounting the backing nut.
Counter sink the stocks sling plate mounting fixtures inside the stock so as to fit the backing nuts for stud and foward sling plate screw.
Instal bipod stud in the forward sling plate hole.
Install sling plate into the rear holes and fasten. Loctite is optional.

It's a slick way to set your walnut, springfield synthetic or chinese synthetic stock up for a secure bipod fixture and retain the traditional sling loop AND maintain the "weep hole" clearnce so that the gasses can vent properly from your stock.
I'm trying to post pics we took of this Mod that I walked BC308 thru at the clinic.
If someone can post them for me I'll email them to ya ;)
Bug Hungry to sticky this in FAQ's , it's an easy "don't need to pay a gunsmith mod" ;)

For the record, Satain is not a representative of my business either.. He IS a valued customer.. I think he is a painter full time LOL

What I do know is that at his gun range, he is a mutherfugging mascot for CGN and a great many folks have joined this community after being directed here by satain.
Nuff said.
