Well went to the range yesterday
Marlin xt 22lr iron sights bolt action
this rifle ate everything i gave her cc1 federal wildcat stingers
No issue loading ejecting or firinig 250 rounds at 50 feet
dead on accurate and im new to this and had no trouble keeping it in the
2 inch squares.
In short awesome gun nail driver right out of the box and great to shoot.
Cant wait to get some glass on her and try her farther out
anyone looking for a accurate well made 22 again accurate right out of the box
and dead cheap this is the one cant say enough about her
cheers

I just bought one today (sporter barrel, wood stock). The trigger is a bit too heavy (5lbs) and the barrel is not free floating. The rifle needs some adjustments before going to the range.

I went to buy one and got turned off by that and the stained 2x4 "hardwood" stock. The bolt seemed nice and smooth, but it was not even close to being free floated, so I decided to pass on it.

Yes, most wood stocks look cheap but I don't like synthetic stocks. The store had five XT 22-s so I hand picked mine. Actually, the wood looks pretty nice on this. I will list it on the EE as a Cooper. Just kidding. :D
Free floating the barrel is quite simple, I can do it myself. I will also adjust the trigger before I take the rifle to the range.
All in all, pretty good rifle for the money.
Has anybody tested this rifle @ 50 yards with different ammo?

Yeah, i have seen some nice wood on some of them, so its good you got a nice one. Marlins synthetic stocks are way better than Savages.
