Pic's would be great.I have an M1A from 1978 in a birch stock, low round count, serial number below 9000. It does not get used and I was wondering what it would be worth.
Yes it has GI parts, the barrel is marked Genesco, Ill co, so I think it was after they movedPic's would be great.
Does it have USGI part's?
Is it from the old S.A. factory?
$2000+
They are now but once were forged when they weren't made in China.
Never ever, ever in the history of ever?
I believe that when they first started making M1A's the receivers were actually cast in Quebec using the lost wax process. The only forged ones currently are those made in China.SA Inc receivers were never forged, they were cast.
USGI (HR, TRW, SA, Winchester) receivers were forged. All prohib now.
Chinese receivers (Polytech, Norinco) are forged.
