I went to the range today with intention of testing a Savage Rascal, but I managed to sneak a wee bit of time behind my new project rifle. This rifle has become my most favourite rim-fire ever due to its accuracy.

Well, I was getting a little bored shooting 150m groups, so I figured I would stretch it out to 200m. The ammo was AE 38g and the squares are 1inch.

That is a beautiful piece, i personally am not a fan of that stock, but still a beautiful piece and you must be doing something right to get that group at that distance. im not even close to ready for that yet. Good shooting :)

lol, thought so but wasnt sure, i had that stock on a savage 93R17 hmr, but in forest camo, did a great job, i think a boyds "tacticool" would be epic on that rifle there bud! just sayin :)

Yeah, it would look awesome, but i love the lami wood grain. I thought about getting a tacticool stock and stripping the black off to expose the natural laminate.....

That's phenomenal accuracy for a cheap rimfire shooting non-match ammo. My FV-SR exhibits the worst accuracy of any rimfire I've ever owned. Dynapoints group 3 feet at 50 yards. Needless to say, it's going to a repair facility soon.

Over 30 brands of ammo were tried (including match) and it performed the best with AE 38g. It also likes that Federal Champion crap too.

Impressive. It's definitely a keeper then. You might never own another rimfire that will give you that level of performance at such minimal cost.

I like that idea!

And that's amazing shooting! What kind of scope is she wearing?

Thanks, she is wearing a Leapers 6x24x50. It is one of the "good ones" that holds its zero. One of the biggest improvements Made so far was for consistency. I made my own bottom metal and trigger guard out of 3/16 aluminium. This plus the stiffer laminated stock really helped true up the action and my groups improved dramatically.
