FTE Muzzle brake fitting on Savage?

Does the FTE Badger ordnance muzzle brake fit on the savage arms model 10 FCP-K threading and collar? (.308) How hard is it to get on there? Really would like a FTE brake but don't want to buy one to find out it won't fit. How much would it cost for a smith to put it on also? Any advice would be great !! Thanks!

Sean (aka JuanValdez here on CGN) of North Shore Barrels will hook you up for both the Badger FTE and the installation on your rifle.

To answer your question - yes it does have to be fitted to your barrel (whether or not work would have to be redone to the threads you have on your muzzle right now I do not know) but the hole of the brake itself has to be of the correct size as well.
