CCI - Quiet-22LR ammo

I tried the CCI CB 710fps longs in my 10-22, they chono'd at 500-525fps max,
just had to cycle the bolt manually, SUPER quiet

Effective range or these cb rounds? Still able to take a rabbit?

I have found that the CBees are not as accurate as regular loads. The Subsonics are still much quieter than regular .22 loads, and they pack a much bigger punch than the CBees. You will be restricted to head shots with the CBees - and have to test the accuracy in your rifle to see if you can hit a rabbit's head at 25 yards.

I've found rabbit to be easy kill. I've knocked some off with a .177 non-PAL airgun before up to 15m. You just have to bang them behind the front shoulder.

I've killed tree rats (squirrels) at about 30m with a CBee round. It was hold up near the top of a tree. The bullet when in under the front shoulder and out it's head. It hit a couple branches on the way down. I'm sure it would take out a rabbit too up to 30m.

As with all factory ammunition, you have to test it for accuracy in your firearm. The CBees are very accurate out of my CZ452, about .5" to .75" groups, at 25m. But I could not replicate this in other .22s.

I have not tryed them in a 10.22 But i have tryed them in a bolt and they are great. Mine are CCI Low velocety 710fps

i tried the cci's in my 10/22 didn't cycle but didn't jam either, super quiet but having to manually cycle everytime sucks.

The Aguila SSS uses a 60 grain lead bullet. I have seen pictures of them and they are odd looking when you see how long the bullet is compared to the case. It almost looks like they stuck a 60 grain bullet ontop of a .22 short casing. Rated at 950 fps with a muzzle energy of 120 ft/lbs.

I still have a few boxes of RWS subsonics that I bought years ago. Not bad stuff and it was pretty quiet. I will need to try and find some of the CCI subs and compare it.
