well i havent seen any shed hunting threads latly so i think imn going to start one. i am just interested in what you guys have found so far. went out the otherday and found four. all from last year and one from 3 or 4 years ago. no pics at this time. lets see those sheds. :p
 
I found three one day last week in a 20 minute span 30 meters apart. All 5 point right sides. Its extremely rare to find sheds around here. 3 in one day is unheard of, let alone in essentially the same spot, mere minutes apart.

Its been a slow year for me. I've only found 3 smaller ones. Last year I found several in the 160-180" class, but not so lucky this year. I also haven't been out as much as I'd like to.
 
damn i need to learn more about shed hunting as i am no true hunter! my Wife is very interested in this as we enjoy time outdoors.

What do i need to look for to find areas were there may be sheds?
How do i go about looking for them?

These seem like silly questions but for somone who has no hunters in his family its all new to me.

I am assuming you look for the areas the deer winter as they usaly fall off ealry spring?

Try to find a place that the deer spend the winter in.
Just walk about in that area.

My Dad feeds the deer some hay to get them thru the winter so they hang out in a small wood a behind the farmhouse.
