Question for all you Tavor owner's

When you removed the spring from your trigger mech, did you have any problems when shooting?

I really dont understand why IWI put it there in the first place "other then to make the trigger heavyier then a GPMG lol"

i took them out of both of my Tavors... no problems so far... and i have had one of them drop off the quad once or twice:eek:

I shoot with the factory trigger. With a hand guard/trigger guard that size, you really don't want to run the risk of gear in there catching and pulling.

Unless you're running it as a range gun only, but that's missing the point!

The key thing for me to get used to the trigger was to buy a box of dummy round and pull a couple of times a week. These days I snap cap most every night, just pulling on wall-art. You learn your way around the trigger

I shoot at a different kind of hostage plate when I'm indoors:

I dont beleave in snap caps in mil-spec guns ;)

If you break a combat rifle by dry firing "it means its not a combat rifle :D"

My brother's tavor #### the bed a bit when he removed the extra spring. It was hanging there and got a little mangled. My tavor never caused me any issues when I had he spring removed. I ended up leaving it stock as it wasn't that much of an improvement.

I thought that was what Chris said it was for.

There have been so many threads on that pesky little spring.
Hard to keep a consensus straight in my head.
Seeing you are in Israel, I will take your word for it.

תודה לך

You don't have to take my word for it. It is just something the engineer who designed the Tavor said.
You are welcome.

I took it off, not a revolution, but it does make it a bit better.
No issues so far but I do not run around with it, mostly a range gun.

A new(lighter) trigger pack is in the works for some months now.
I get to handle the latest versions of both Tavor and X95 and all I can say is that IWI is tweaking the system all the time, introducing small incremental improvements.
