S&W 1911 E Serie compact

I just ordered an S&W 1911 commander size, black. I want to know if you have input on this particular gun. The frame is scandium, fishscale serrations and bobtail.

It's this exact gun. The pic is from the store.

Pretty cool. Not a huge fan of the fish scales. Also not a fan of the external extractor. I don't think standard 1911 grips will fit. It would be a sweet carry pistol but not my choice shooter for the range. Anyway I'm sure you like it and that's all that matters. Congrats!

Love the look of those guns, bobtails are saxy. I had a pd commander and didnt like the muzzle flip on it...wasnt sure if it was the commander or the light frame. Great gun non the less, S&W 1911s are huge in the states.

I heard about scandium frame (light weight) and muzzle flip, but it's not worst than a Glock I guess....

Bobtailed anything are generally hard to come by. I would assume because of manufacturing the bobtailed

I heard they are dry even in the states (as you mentioned). My pistol had to be ordered in as it was not a model the dealer carried normally so they had to contact their distributor.

The new S&W 1911's are the nicest looking guns I have seen in a while. A lot of people are saying the fit and finish is on par with the big names like Kimber.
