Too bad you still can't delete your own posts on CGN. It would be a great feature to have!

Oh well, one more to the post count I guess...

Ok, I'll get you started.

Galt - Membership, initiation fee, OFAH fee, and safety course (One time fee) = $430 + Section fees (ie. $85 for outdoor handgun).

Guelph - Membership and CSSA fee = $320 (Pro rated) + Safety course $100 (One time fee).

Burlington - Membership, initiation fee, and CIF fee = $305 (Pro rated) + Safety course (Maybe $100?, one time fee).

looks like aurora is the front runner so far, I like that they have a bow range as well. but 382 is a bit more than what I was hoping for, What are the links for "targets"? I sent off an info rquest to most of the others...

Don't bother going to Elmira Rod and Gun.

My friend tried to join there a few days ago.

He was told to get lost. Apparently they have a new "No Outsiders" policy in effect.

The only way you can join Elmira is if you have an inside connection. If your dad or your brother or your fishing buddy is already a member, then they can get you in. But otherwise, you are not welcome there.

If anyone from the Elmira Club is reading this; You should be ashamed of yourselves.
You are the biggest enemy to our sport.

Ajax Rod and Gun club is not currently seeking new. Only if you live in Ajax. I grew up there, but alas I moved to Toronto. I gather this is because they are actually fully registered or something like that... :( The fees were pretty reasonable. Still searching... Hopefully I can find something relatively close for a good fee.

I was a member of Aurora before I moved to Edmonton and I have nothing but good memories from there. There price is more than some but all the money spent on the membership goes right back into the club so its nice knowing the money is not making someone else rich.

I actually found myself going there on there club night just with questions about firearms/reloading with no intent to shoot. Everyone there is more than happy to share any knowledge they have on this sport.

All in all its a really good club with a great bunch of guys running it...

There is also the Hamilton Angling and Hunting Association, affectionatly known as HAHA. I recently joined and the club is outdoors, well run, and the costs are quite reasonable. Also they have heated booths to use in the winter on the rifle range.

How exactly is the sport ever to grow if shooting clubs don't allow anyone to join?

Its a bit frustrating. "Hi I want to give you money so I can use your facilities"....."sorry we don't want it"

Anyway, I'll find something. Hammer is a bit far for me but if the price is less than aurora I'll have to run the numbers I guess. I would actually join a club further north as I go up north all the time, but the whole transporting directly to and from things with restricteds makes it difficult to dedicte a trip out of the city specifically for one thing.
