Well I think this is it the pic actually came up in the preview so here goes...this could be a good day after all :)
Any way the whole pistol grip thing cost less than 20 bucks and took 3 hours.
Be a whole lot easier if they just let us have FN/FAL.
If this did work its all thanks to Chalkriver :)

Glad to help out and to see you got it ....I like the tiger stripe version better ..
It works the same for these too ...GIF files

right click on them to save to a file and then load to photobucket and use the same as a pic .....I can imagine you looking like this now ....lol

Question for you, is that a 30mm scope? Do you have enough MOA adjust to hit centre of aim at 25 or 100 yards? My problem is that I have a scope mount just like that, with 30mm medium rings (can't find shorter) and a 4-16x44 scope with 60moa adjust. It's 3 inches off at 25 yards and can't reach at 100.

Which scope is that? I have the sightmark triple duty IR Mildot version and I really wanted to use it on this gun but I had to swap it out for a 70moa adjust bushnell with low 1 inch rings otherwise my gun was useless.

Nice looking M14! How are the ergonomics? Also, you say the grip is Tapco - does that mean the entire stock? The grip looks like it's fully part of the stock, not an add-on. Looks too classy to be Tapco (I love Tapco, but their stuff can be pretty ugly).

Yep...cant hide anything from some pple eh lol. Its just the plastic stock and a cheap Tapco grip and a whole bunch of epoxy. I figured I could replace the stock easy enough and what the hell it was raining and I was bored. So I just got out the hacksaw and did some measuring and cutting and hey presto. I will let you all know how it holds up but really the gun already weighed 13lb so I didnt skimp on the resin. Its already been dropped and knocked around a bit, call it testing, but if its gonna break it might as well break here rather than at the Ranges
As for the scope its a 6-24x50 mildot NCstar.....whatever that all means. I was in the REME and they didnt trust us with scopes, said we'd use em as hammers, and I keep wondering what an MOA is LOL .I can get a 4 inch group at 200 mtrs every now and then, if that helps.

Cool. Looks pretty seamless. Nice job.

hay you got it im still tring to figer out how to post pic its hord for us older guys lol

Do you have a photobucket account ?

Its free to get an account and once you get the account it will tell you how to upload pics...its real easy once you do it a couple times

Open photobucket page where your pics are stored

Hold your cursor over the pic you want to copy from photobucket and a drop down list will appear

Left click on the IMG code box ( the bottom one) and it will display " copied " for a sec

right click on an open post and the code will appear there in your post .....but you cant see it as a pic until you preveiw it or actually post it ...it will just be a code ( a bunch of letters until you post it)...

Congrats on both posting the picture and a great looking stock! If you ever feel like sharing some further details about the process, I am sure there are many out there that would be interested in how you accomplished such a seamless looking job. Good work!

Only problem I see is the pistol grip is too close to the trigger. When I did mine the first time I made this mistake but then redid it to correct this problem. How does it feel guys?
