Am I Nutz ?

Well, you can pass the time figuring out which parts you want to add on to the SR22, like a forward rail from Dlask.......except they're all sold out!

Congrats on your buys, you're not nuts, just.......motivated

Smart move IMO, I drove 2 hours to get my SR. All the gun stores around me were sold out. I literally called close to 10 shops and nobody knew when they were getting more. I got the last one Accuracy Plus (Peterborough) had in stock. Well worth the drive. You'll love it!

You may have trouble locating one locally, but if you're willing to order online or buy off the EE there's still some around. Still you saved on the shipping fees and got to handle it before making the purchase, so definitely a good move.

Never ordered a rifle before for obvious PAL reason but i can't imagine how high must be the shipping cost with Canada Post.. something to take in consideration when buying.. unless money isn't important and how much you want something specific

Took mine 8 weeks exactly and that was with me being proactive an calling/ emailing to follow up with the RCMP. I did my NR AND R.

Got my PAL in 2nd week of January 2012. 8 weeks is good with the Christmas holidays plus the restricted.

Do you still have to register new long guns in montreal? I know they are fighting to keep the registry and everything, but aren't they simply keeping the current info? They shouldn't be allowed to continue to register firearms. Am I wrong?

Since Montreal is a part of Quebec, So far, I heard we are still force to register them.. mine are not registered yet but if nothing happen in the next 2 months, in regard of the law, i'll be force to register it.

also, when i shopped for my TI25 aluminium mag, (2 weeks ago max) there was this notice on the wanstallsonline website

Note: Any (Non- Restricted ) firearms going to Quebec Must still be registered until further notice.

The only place in this world that can take more than a month to get your paper to get a 22? In Quebec!

You can get a 22 in less than 10 minutes in Quebec

It take a month to get a once in a life time paper that give you right to buy guns and ammo. (obviously a PAL, or PPA for frenchies)

I live in Quebec, i think the registry is a joke that gonna fail anyway, but your sentence make it sound like "getting a 22 is complicated in quebec".

Other Nutz News: sold the SR-22 and got a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge instead. As of today, i am supposed to have my PAL in my hand tonight or tomorrow (been shipped/issued last friday)
