It's an LMT, which means it came from a particular importer who does not do returns...
But when you phone LMT with any warranty issued they refer you to him...

We'll see what they want to do... I really should've taken some before and after pictures. I swear, it looked like mold was growing on the feed ramps (which probably wouldn't be that much of an exaggeration). There was so much filthy packing grease, dirt, debris, etc. both internally and externally that I wasn't sure at first if it was a new barrel. I spent about an hour just cleaning the outside before I even ran a patch down the barrel...

See how they feel about their name being on a product that is sub-standard and let them deal with the vendor. I would not shoot it until I have spoke to someone.
Be polite , be firm and don't take no for an answer, I personally think they will replace it for you.
If all else fails ask to speak to the owner.

Should have bought an NEA. Sorry J, couldn't resist

Is it hooped? Probably not.
Your overthinking it. How does it shoot?

That being said I would be extremely surprised if this wasn't dealt with by Monday.
14-May Update: So the (only) option I've been given is to return the defective barrel to the dealer, who will endeavour to have LMT replace it within 4-12+ weeks (though they're not able to provide or guarantee a firm timeframe). As this potentially bumps my shooting season to Fall, I'd requested a refund and was flat-out told "no".
