Black & Green...& Wood?

I was playing around with some 870 furniture on my HP-9 yesterday, when I went to harvest the black synthetic stock from my Tactical 870. I was about to put on the pistol grip stock it came with, but then I saw that I had a Walnut stock set just sitting in my spare parts case. Its a tight fit but I think it looks cool and interesting. I have an OD green S&J velcro side saddle, but it doesn't fit on there properly with that fore-end. I would have to get a 4 shell holder to make it work right. Which I am looking into.

I kind of like it. The forend needs to be shortened to be compatible with a sidesaddle, though.

I like old school black shotguns with wood furniture. Wood and parkerizing look great together, IMO. Maybe your wife didn't like the wood/green/black combo, you need to coat your mag extension too.
