Note: Mods, I would appreciate it if you didn't move this thread into Questar's forum where they can just lock it again... If Questar doesn't want to respond publicly to my concerns, that's entirely their right. But that certainly shouldn't preclude the rest of us who've had problems with them from discussing their reprehensible customer service policies.

When shipped a damaged/defective product, it seems only fair that the customer is given the option to have the product exchanged (where possible), repaired/replaced under warranty -or- provided with a full and complete refund. At the customer's discretion.

Essentially telling the customer they can wait 12+ weeks for the eventual warranty or 'go pound sound' isn't much of a choice.

Discussion continues...

Blaxsun, thank you. I was about to place an order with Questar for both myself and a buddy who does not shop online. I guarantee you that Questar will never receive a single penny of my hard earned cash, ever! They may not care now, but one day they will be begging for our business. #### THEM!!!!!

Was store credit ever brought up?
I think as a buisness it's a good way to keep your customer relativly happy and still keep their money.

This is what apparently what qualifies as "new" these days...

Yes, I did inquire as to what other options there were and was flat-out told there wasn't any. I was certainly open to the idea of at least a partial refund for accepting the barrel "as is" or a store credit, but it never materialized.

Gas tube looks pretty good. f:P:

It is! The gas tube is absolutely flawless! The only problem is that it stands in stark contrast to the rest of the barrel...

When I get the rifle maybe I can get it to match by dropping it out of the vehicle a few times, dragging it along the aggregate concrete, spraying it with a mister and leaving it out in the garage for a few days...

Dishwasher should help get that nice brown colour.

I would have asked if that barrel was recovered from the Titanic. Or if it was the new patented "pre oxidized parkarizing". Ok I wouldn't have but I would have thought it.

I'd sent it back right away.

ill put money down that this thread and the original will be deleted by noon tommorrow....sweep sweep sweep...

Print and save; they're CGN collectibles... ;) And no, not taking that bet!

"Titanic"... that's a good one. ;)

for the record, this is questars sites policy
7. Sales Policy. All Sales Are Final. No Refund. No Exchange.

8. Return Policies. Questar, at it's sole discretion, may permit the return of product, for purpose of repair or other reason, but any return must first be authorized by Questar.

9. Exchanges. From time to time, Questar may, in its sole discretion, exchange products or portions of a product.

and for the record, my lar 10 mags from them work great, but this new batch... I seated a coupled mag, and it broke in half, but on the magazine, not the plastic coupler, spring fell out and all... was my buddies mag he just got, not mine,

weird pitting in that barrel for sure, that returns policy is why I didnt get a spikes from them, I like a "we'll take care of it" policy

they do have some parts no one else has at least
