Was bored and I had the idea to give one of my shotguns a camo paintjob so here is the result. I'm satisfied with it but plan on redoing it really soon and already know what I'm going to do differently (with some patterns/overlays) but thought I would share anyway. Feedback is welcome.. even feedback telling me I'm a poser dork who will never achieve Ultra Ninja Tactical Level 6 :)

I didn't paint the Hogue pistol grip because I was afraid it would alter the texture (the texture being the primary reason I went with Hogue) and I'm glad I didn't because the paint definitely changes the feel.

Sorry for the crappy pic.. the quality as well as the lack of contrast with the ground... photography fail

Dude, your condo board, wife, or Mom will be totally pissed that you got green spraypaint on the floor...

Other than that the zombies wont see what hit em !

hehe something to think about.

By the way, I am now completely obsessed with giving things camo paint jobs. I'm gonna do my phone.. and my keys... and my car... and my fridge....

I really gave it some thought and in fact painted the factory pistol grip it comes with but I am going to leave the Hogue alone. Like I said, the texture of the Hogue is the main reason I went with it so I don't want to cover it in paint and change the feel. This is just for fun anyway!

I wouldnt paint rubber, it wont last. Once the paint cures it will be brittle and crack when the rubber flexes. Looks good tho, how do you like the hogue with heavy loads?

Yes, don't want that to happen. I love the Hogue, made a huge difference for me. I think their entire series of Overmolded gear is a tremendous success. The Tamer pistol grip does have a gel-like area right where the web of your hand would be and it helps when shooting hotter loads. I would definitely recommend. With the factory pistol grip, I found birdshot to be unpleasant. I still wouldn't want to shoot slugs all day out of this but at least it's reasonable now.

 what shotgun? all i see is a pistol grip. ;)

Goooood.... gooood.... LOL

With the right hold I can shoot Win 2 3/4" 1600 fps slugs comfortably with the plastic PG. Birshot and reduced recoil slugs are just plain fun :)
