Yep. Your right. Our screw up doing the best to fix it.
So busy have not Checked voicemail in 2 weeks.
Yeah ... right.
On May 22nd I even PM'd BBB my phone number and more-or-less pleaded for a response ... so this could get sorted-out ... and still no response other than commenting (in a reply PM, signed by J****) about not getting my emails and asking for my email address.
Which caused me to scratch my head (see below) but I supplied the address anyway ...
I would never dream of posting a PM, and was unaware that there may be a rule about posting the contents of emails. I'm guessing that I can post my outgoing emails, and then describe/paraphrase what (if any) email responses they prompted. Here's what I sent on
February 18th ... more than three months ago ...
Hi guys,
On Thursday I picked-up the small brown padded envelope that you'd sent to the ******** Post Office.
Uh-oh. I'd ordered an $11.99 Blade-Tec Tec Loc attachment, and that's what all the paperwork (Order #10602) confirmed, but the little package contained a $7.99 pair of 6" Molle-locs from the same company. They were packaged (along with their four screw- fasteners) just barely (looking like big black X) in an unlabelled 6" by 3.5" Ziplock style bag ... the kind with a little hole in the small plastic extension just above the seal ... that enables the package to be hung for display on a rack.
I tried to see if they would work on my BK2 sheath, but unfortunately they won't. The 5" interior range of the the Molle-Locs means that the clamp is not a secure and tight fit on my 1.75" Uncle Mike's carry-belt. (The Tec-Loc that I ordered does have an adjustable interior spacer for just that purpose.)
So, what to do now? The cost to return them to you is more than your retail cost of $7.99!
How does this sound? I'll keep the Molle-Locs in the hope that I or a friend ever have a use for them someday. I'll mail you a nice crisp $10 bill for the $8 Molle-Locs in a regular letter.
And then you mail me the Tec Loc that I've already bought. The extra $2 that I'm paying for the Molle Locs will help to defray (a little bit) your cost for your second mailing.
Your Post Office sure seemed to charge a lot ($13.48) for that tiny and light little package. Worth double-checking, maybe ... and feel free to send the Tec-Loc as slowly and cheaply as possible. This ain't all that urgent
Sound like a plan?
Don't I sound reasonable? As Canadian as ...
I received a prompt email reply that acknowledged their error, and they (graciously) said that I could keep the Molle Locs, and that they would ship a Tec Loc to me immediately. I responded with a brief
Thank you.
On
March 10th I still hadn't received anything so I sent this polite email ...
Hi guys,
There's still no sign of that Tek Lok at the Post Office. Perhaps it got mis-directed?
When I didn't hear from them, I sent an email on
April 3rd.
Hi Badboybeeson,
Still no sign of Tec Loc ...
Perhaps it slipped your mind? It's a pretty minor item.
This is not urgent, so feel free to send it as cheaply as possible in a small padded envelope.
I received an email reply on April 3rd saying that they would get the Tec Loc to me.
I replied ...
Badboybeeson,
Totally "no problemo" here at this end. Take yer time. I'd already purchased a custom Kydex sheath from On Scene Tactical, and the Tec Loc was just a little experiment to see if I could find some use for the remainder (the at-least-functional bottom half) of the Kabar BK-2's original plastic sheath.
Totally an academic exercise ... just a retired guy noodling-around ...
The OSC sheath is incredible. If you subtract his goofy Canada Post $15 mailing cost, he made it for ... ummmm ... $27. Go figure.
After a month and still no Tec Loc, I sent this email on
May 3rd ...
Hi Badboybeeson,
It's been another month, so I'm guessing that you might have forgotten to send me my Large Tec Loc.
Yr. Obdt. Srvt.,
After receiving no reply or Tec Loc, I sent this email on
May 22, and also left a similar phone message ... and sent a similar PM.
Hey guys,
It's been almost three weeks since I sent the email below. This is getting goofy. If you won't/cannot send me the Tec Loc, just please return my $21.99.
This has been going-on since February 18th, when I first contacted you about your shipping error. That's just about three months. Feel free to phone me at 1 403 *** **** and maybe we can get this sorted-out.
There was no reply.
And, in response to the "parallel" PM that I
also sent on
May 22nd (as I mentioned at the beginning of this post) I was told that they weren't getting my emails ... and I was asked for my email address.
To be continued ...
