Question for All the Married/Otherwise Attached Hunters out there :D

Goes out and pulls the trigger... and pouts when she cant.. really gets cranky when I come back and she has sat at home or work. Shes got the best job ever for scouting and gaining permission... School teacher in a small country school,, if her sister and mother(school bus drivers) arent giving scouting reports on turkeys/geese/deer.. the students are!

I'm just lucky. We fish and hunt big game together ( she'll gut a deer or elk but won't clean a fish for some reason) She doesn't hunt upland mostly because the 3AM get up isn't her cup of tea. She also does her own thing with her friends which is all good.

Almost exactly my situation, but she shoots her own big game...

Cheers
Jay

thank you for the info boys :D keep it coming :D

mlehto - you're such a copy/paster from site to site. i see what you did there...

looking into opening my b&b in the woods, but it might be a bit to posh for all you hard core huntin' boys :D thought maybe your ladies might want a girly retreat location while you boys are having some fun, might reduce the nag factor. still working out the kinks :D

from what i'm reading:
-kidfriendly is a must
-affordable (except for looky's woman...i'll set up the paperwork to look like i charge her triple and she'd like that :D deal?)
-pampering could be a systems go here

again, keep it coming. i appreciate it :D

We have an understanding. I go out and she watches the kiddy, and she goes out and I watch the kiddy. Take the family fishing, but I prefer to hunt alone. I like the peace and quiet. Huntings never been an issue, or atleast she never mentions it. I guess she figures I could be doing "other things" like sitting in a bar or at the casino. $$$

You poor suckers.

My darling wife (and all of our wives) come to the cabin to prepare a massive brunch after each morning hunt, and a massive supper after each evening hunt.

I walk in the woods all day, and still come home 10lbs heavier. Mercy, I love that woman. :D

In camp, I do the cooking! And still gain weight. I love cooking.

She doesnt hunt on a regular basis, but she got 2 mooses to her record, she will tag along when i will go to Africa next year, she wont hunt, she will come for a great trip... JP.

I'm the one one who drags my Hubby out hunting.I do like to hunt alone but find it hard to get the big bucks in the truck myself! We usually go together but take turns shooting-it pis^ses me off when he shoots faster but usually misses.

My girl loves to come for a hunt. A lot of times she won't get up early enough though and I end up leaving her at home. Then is pissed off at her self and takes it out on me when I get back...

She doesn't want to come see me shoot bambi, but she likes eating bambi later...

This is basically my situation. She has no problem whatsoever when I go hunting, but prefers to spend time with her family when I am away.
She loves the meat, though.
We have a great relationship. [June 6 will be 20 years]
Regards, Eagleye.

I encourage her to cook, clean, and look after the children mostly. It's enough for any woman to serve her man and raise his children.

Seriously though - my other half doesn't hunt but she occasionally comes with me for gopher shoots. She does whatever she wants to do on her time just like I do on mine. I like having time to myself and the cutesy-fruitsy couples that do everything together all the time are either newly weds or can't stand to live in the same house 5 years later - I've seen it happen.

Healthy couples tend to recognise the need for individual activities and having time alone to reset the mind is healthy and even necessary.

She makes me sandwiches at the cottage and when I get home from hunting. No she spends time with our first son whuch keeps her busy, she loves it and I am right there when I am not out in the bush or working, works well for me. Our son is 3 weeks today and eager to get out in the bush, easy buddy, you can't even keep your head up, or stay dry for more than an hour lol
