What have people been putting on their Sig for adjustable sights. I've only found two sights so far. Have any of you tried these? Can you recommend a good set and where to get them? Thanks.

LPA sights: (The Shooting Edge has these in stock in Calgary)

PSI over at Brownells: (which is out of stock for the three dot)

Doesn't your slide needs to be milled to fit the shown LPA?

Ya, the SPR model does: (according to LPA)

LPA Sight Types:

SPR
Higher profile adjustable rear sight with replacement front sight (when listed as a set)
Click screw adjustment for windage and elevation
Tapered dovetail
Machined from solid steel
Will require gunsmithing and/or fitting, especially for front sight installation

TPU
Works with existing front sight
Fits existing rear dovetail
Tapered dovetail for better locking in the slide
Click screw adjustment for windage and elevation
Machined from solid steel
Intended as a no-gunsmithing installation, but may require minor fitting due to variances in particular handguns

TR
Sight has the same appearance as the SPR, but is designed to work with the existing front sight
Click screw adjustment for windage and elevation
Tapered dovetail for better locking in the slide
Machined from solid steel
May require fitting for installation

What caliber is your SIG? Do you have the right sights on it?

If my memory serves me well, 9mm is #8 front and rear and 40S&W is #6 front and #8 rear.

My Sig is a 9mm. Number 8 on the front and number 8 on the rear. The rear is hard to read. They are both marked AI MH3 in white paint and stamped into the steal is the number 8.

I wish I would have noticed this earlier.

The LPA TPU has the dove tail block at the front which will make it hang over the back of the slide:

The LPA SPR has the dove tail block in the middle:

Thanks a lot for posting the pictures. I had no idea it would hang over for far. You'll have to let me know how you like it after a few trips to the range.

*This Sight I have is TPU25SS18 Pkg Marked SIG P220-P229* Just in case some is thinking of getting them for a 220,They look better on the 220 but still hangover the back more than most would probably prefer,it looks about as far forward on the 220 as mine could go on the 229 before striking the slide

I just went out an shot 50 rnds through it,played around adjusting the sights,I like them, going to leave them on the spare slide and play around with them some more, before deciding if to leave them on or add to the spare parts box

This is the installation I was refering to; the back of the slide is flattened to incrust the rear sight into it. Very nicely done imo. BTW this is a P226 Sport stock (It comes like this from the german factory).

I don't think this kind of installation can be done on a regular P226.

Dovetail on the Sport stock is not at the same place...
