My first sawed off conversion

Thanks for the kudos Darkstang, as requested here's some pics of the crowning process. Sorry about the quality, just using my cell phone, and the first pic was taken out back in the dark where I did the filing.

Here's the barrel as cut, with the burrs if you can make em out:

And after a little filing and what crowning I could do with a half round bastard file, I brought it in and put it on the gun for some show and tell:

It's not quite perfect, I need to hit it with some super fine grit sandpaper and buff it up with some steel wool before I blue it, might work the crown a little more as it looks ever so slightly concave from certain angles. Hard for me to tell if it's the cut or just the uneven crowning with the hand file. I'll have to get a better look at it in daylight. Don't suppose anyone's got a hot tip to check for square? I was gonna try setting a small piece of glass flat over it to see where it might be a little high or low, thoughts?

I smoke a fine cigar with a good brandy, keep the ash, mix it into a paste with water, then rub on with a cloth. Light, small circles.

The brandy is the key, you have to be a little impaired or it gets boring REALLY quickly.

AL!
Stay out of the Brandy and leave the smoking to me. Lol! I have to agree. He is extremely OCD.
