what is a good inexpensive .22 pistol?

Walter sp22 m2 is on sale on one of the site sponsors for $320 or so.

I have a gsg and I like it. $400
Ruger mk series is always a good bet. $380
Beretta Neos shoots good and simple to operate. $400
Browning buckmark is apparently on par with ruger mk's. $400
There's browning 1911-22 (80% scale 1911) and I found one at local shop for $550 or so)


For longevity and reliability and accuracy u can't beat ruger(is what I hear)

But really, I feel you should shoot and find out for yourself what fits your hand.

One of the reason I got the gsg was because I just couldnt be comfortable with rugers and berettas.

Norinco Woodsman - cheap and reliable. Tiny little gun. Just don't take it apart.
Beretta Neos - probably the easiest gun there is to take apart and clean. Reliable, accurate, but the Star Wars look might not be to your liking.
Ruger 22 revolvers - can't get much more simple than that and you get a 22 and a 22 WMR out of it.
 
Inexpensive and reliable - Ruger MK I or II
Easy to clean, reliable - Ruger single six, Smith and Wesson K17

Find one that fits her hands and she will never give it up.

Yuuup i went with this also after a buddy let me try his at the range, had to get my hands on one :)

Cheap and fun, but might not be the most accurate (unless im the one who blows with it lol)
 
I agree with all the above suggestions including the Ruger's, Browning & GSG1911.

Let's not forget this "tiny" 22LR & 22WMR gem for all the CGN'rs lucky enough to have ordered one.

Relatively inexpensive - yes.
Fun - YES!
Accurate - as would be expected from what it is.

Maybe one will show up in the EE.

Either you got a bad one, you have abnormally high expectations or it's you haha. Mine shoots into a golfball sized group at around 10 yards and i'm not the greatest shot. I love my little crappy norc for new shooters too. The only down side is the grip feels like it was sized for the lollipop guild.
 
Rough and rugged and good for small hands: Norinco m93. Surprisingly good reliability, and basic takedown is dead easy. Full disassembly is not Glock simple, but it's not that bad once you know where everything is supposed to go.

Semi-classy with a really nice feel at the pricepoint: Buckmark in whatever version strikes her fancy (MANY to choose from).

Rugers are kind of standard but pretty hard to find these days.

Browning 1911 22LR is really pretty cool, but maybe not inexpensive. Same with the Sig p226 Classic 22.
 
I noticed one of our site sponsors P-D has a Sig 1911-22 on sale on their main page, don't know much about this gun specifically, but they look really nice, and seems like a good price.
